He has specialised in mineral resource acquisition and development since the mid 1990's and is the founder and a significant shareholder of African Minerals Limited (formerly Sierra Leone Diamond Company) which listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM Market in early 2005, raising £21 million on listing.
